Monash Children’s hospital is a government-funded organization that is run by university-trained staff. They have an entire department devoted to Early in Life Mental Health Service (ELMHS), where young people who are going through emotional, behavioural, or mental health problems can get help. They provide you with a team of psychiatrists, medical officers, psychiatric nurses, health staff, psychologists, social workers, speech pathologists, and occupational therapists. These people all help in supporting and managing someone with a mental illness effectively. They also provide different services, such as the Adolescent Recovery Centre (ARC), Stepping Stones (also called the Adolescent Psychiatric Inpatient Unit), Intensive Mobile Outreach Support (IMOS), Recovery and Prevention of Psychosis (RAPP), and Endeavour Neurodevelopmental Psychiatry.
Rating:
The Monash Children’s Hospital is one of the hardest working hospitals in the country. They provide specialized services for many different conditions and patients. They are well-run and organized and are friendly to their patients and staff. They have also seen great results in their recovery and treatment programs across all departments. I would rate the Monash Children’s Hospital a 10 out 10.
